Statement of Faith

We believe worship of God should be in spirit and in truth.

Therefore: We remain flexible and yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit to direct our worship.

We believe worship of God should be inspirational.

Therefore: We give great place to music in our worship.

We believe worship of God should be intelligent.

Therefore: Our services are designed with great emphasis on teaching the Word of God that He might instruct us how He would be worshiped.

We believe worship of God is fruitful.

Therefore: We look for His love in our lives as the supreme manifestation that we have truly been worshiping Him.

Fundemental Beliefs

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God and that it is inerrant in the original writings.

We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved. They that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life, and they that are unsaved unto the resurrection of damnation.

The Deity of Jesus Christ;

We believe in the deity of our Lord, Jesus Christ;

His virgin birth;
His sinless life;
His miracles;
His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood;
His bodily resurrection;
His ascension to the right hand of the Father;
His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that the lost and sinful man must be saved, and that man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord, Jesus Christ.

We hold to:

The inerrancy of scripture.
The continuance today of the diversities of spiritual gifts as found in I Corinthians 12:4-11.
Simplicity in church government, rather than a complex bureaucracy.
A dependence on the Holy Spirit to lead, rather than fleshly promotion.
The pre-millennial, pre-tribulation return of Christ for His waiting church.
The teaching of the Word of God in such a way that it can be applied to life.

We reject:

The teaching of "positive confession."
The belief that true-Christians can be possessed by demons.
"Dominion theology".
A fatalistic, Calvinistic view, which allows no room for free will.
Prophecy that supersedes biblical scripture.
The incorporation of humanistic psychology and philosophy into biblical teaching.
"Charismania" (the over emphasis upon spiritual gifts, experiential signs and wonders...)
